Herrencreme Cookie serves under his family’s event planning business as one of the managers. With a speciality in evening events, the grand gatherings within the Crème Republic are meticulously planned and carried out by him. Whether he's running behind the scenes or swiftly jumping in to smooth out any surprises, clients trust he'll orchestrate the night to give their guests an unforgettable experience.The charismatic, optimistic, and youngest cookie of the family is always seeking new and lively-experiences, even outside of his planned event work. He often finding himself fantasizing about his own life after a successful night, and will work towards pursuing his idealistic wants in however form they find him. He thinks of himself as his own client, and it is his personal duty to bring his wants and visions to fruition without second thoughts. To him, that is truly what life is about!

Clotted Cream Cookie

Custard Guard | 25 years old | he/him

With his sights set on becoming the youngest Consul of the Crème Republic, Clotted Cream Cookie serves as a Custard Guard to gain military experience as an advantage over future candidates. While years of experience isn't in the realm of possibility, he substitutes it with rigorous studies and formal training under the strict, yet incredibly successful House Custard. His determination and efforts pay off as he eventually will climb quickly through his politician years and be appointed as Consul at 30 years old.Despite his seemingly set path and vision for himself, he is naturally in a transitional period of his life where moments of doubt pass his mind. From the start, this birth into House Scone doomed him to ruin until House Custard rebuilt his image. However, that was not without the tradeoff of his freedom and becoming a tool for influence and power. Every second of his life was pre-determined regardless of House, leaving Clotted Cream Cookie to wonder what he alone truly wants out of his life.Clotted Cream Cookie reached a point in adulthood where he must occasionally function outside of the eye of Custard in order to be self-sufficient as a candidate for Consul. Although still under constant pressure and expectations, that sliver of freedom leads him wondering what else there could be for him outside of the path his father imposed on him.

Summary

Taking place roughly 5 years before the start of Cookie Odyssey, Herrencreme Cookie and Clotted Cream Cookie meet at a formal gathering hosted at Mansion Custard. Encountering each other as the supporting, on-site event manager and the closed-off, aspiring Consul, they quickly become drawn to each others' charmsWith his life defined for him since birth, and further enforced with the strict customs of House Custard, Clotted Cream Cookie finds himself longing for short-lived moments of freedom. Short enough to provide respite, but never crossing the firm line.He treads dangerously close to this line when encountering, and perhaps even entertaining, the boldness of one of the event planning staff. Herrencreme Cookie, who is equally excited about managing a massive House and seeing the attractive, single son of said House, would not let the opportunity pass upon meeting.Maybe it was the genuine charm, or confidence bordering on audacity, or that particular night serving as a harsh reminder that his life is set by House Custard, or maybe something as simple as having a bit to drink, but one thing is certain: Clotted Cream Cookie can't help but be drawn in and take the chance.What brought them together steadily drifts apart when Clotted Cream begins to redefine what it means to become Consul, or rather, reframes the path that has been imposed to him since his adoption. However, this means Clotted Cream will once again take on the aspects of the life that he wanted to escape in the first place and drive a wedge between them.

Extended Background

As an opportunity to strengthen reputation and increase positive relations between his House and other powerful figures, Elder Custard hosts a formal social gathering at Mansion Custard. The lighthearted gathering is meant to dissolve talks about his rumored cold, strict nature and provide his only son an opportunity to connect with important figures within the Republic.A Custard staff member reaches out externally to plan and execute the event. They set their eyes on a business whose specialty and successful history in organizing large scale, high-profile events makes them the ideal candidate to perform the job. For a client as influential as an Elder from one of the Great Houses, the direct management is assigned to the eldest son, Herrentorte Cookie, while the planning is heavily coordinated with the head of the family.When the younger son, Herrencreme Cookie learns that his brother has been assigned to House Custard, he practically begs him to assist on-site. When asked why, Herrencreme Cookie answers that a client as influential and powerful as Elder Custard would need all-hands-on-deck.Although valid in his reasoning, his brother can tell this is not the primary reason for his enthusiastic involvement and pushes him further. His suspicions are confirmed when Herrencreme merrily shares that the very, very attractive son of House Custard is single after one of his more public breakups with a member of House Sable.Herrencreme’s motivation is no surprise to his brother. Elaborate, dreamy fantasies of falling in love with celebrities and/or public figures is something he thought Herrencreme would moved on by now but it seems it still lingers in the form of political figures. Perhaps it stuck with him because he has found success before.Despite his annoyance with Herrencreme’s unrealistic pursuits and visions of love, he allows his experienced brother along with him. His own nervousness and caution of working with one of the Great Houses finds Herrencreme to be barely more valuable than he is troublesome. Weeks and days before the event, he strongly warns and reminds him that they are there for work and not mingling.

Clotted Cream finds himself working tirelessly towards the position of Consul. He is more than halfway through his planned military training before he can proceed full force into his politician years.Although he actively works towards the position, he often contemplates the possibility of disconnecting from it all. The politics, the honeyed words, the destination his father had routed him since his adoption - everything in his life was shaped by factors outside of his control. Even before his adoption into House Custard, House Scone had a similar fate, but instead it was toward ruin. Though, he wonders if that’s truly any worse than becoming nothing but a tool for influence and power for House Custard. He was either an investment or another part of House Scone’s failures.His existence since his birth has been painfully defined by the Republic. He can’t help but wonder if it doesn’t have to be this way. His thoughts are intensified when a breakup with a particularly powerful cookie from another Great House leaves him reflecting about his place in the social sphere he was thrown in. In between the middle of his journey towards Consul and the constant interactions with the powerful social sphere now years into adulthood, he’s at the peak of what was defined for him. He craves the chance at something different, something that’s his.From the strict, controlled upbringing, he would willingly move in the opposite direction if given the smallest opportunity. Less time around the Great Houses and their circles, less being bound by expectations, less connection to the political sphere he was brought into. More freedom, more indulgence, more discovery about himself and what he wants.Fortunately his time as a Custard Guard provides him the slightest reprieve where he actually gets to go outside the house and away from the constant monitoring from his father. Of course, he is still under heavy pressure at the end of the day and all eyes of the Republic are on him (as they always have), but he takes what he can get. His father has the slightest bit of leniency as Clotted Cream is no longer a child being “raised” by Custard nor young adult and will have to become self-sufficient to prove himself capable of Consul.When Custard plans to have a social gathering at Mansion Custard to both increase his image and provide his son chances to network with powerful people, Clotted Cream is prepares himself for another day of practiced smiles and transactional conversations. His opportunity at chance to see what life could be like away from the same circles he’s been trapped in all his life is when one of the event staff tries to strike up a conversation with him. Herrencreme Cookie, he learns, is a lively cookie with who asks a little too many questions in attempts to make small talk.However, Herrencreme’s attempts to talk to the presentable, closed-off Clotted Cream are not in vein as he holds his conversational ground. That, and his boldness to flirt with the son of House Custard leaves Clotted Cream astonished in the moment, but leaves a lasting intrigue he hasn’t felt all night.Maybe it was because of the risk Herrencreme took to engage with him, or maybe it was the Cookie's charm, or maybe it was the fact he was trying to take a break from his spheres when this fresh face appeared in front of him - either way their encounter drew him in. When Clotted Cream returns back to the crowd of people for the remainder of the night, he finds himself thinking about the exuberant man a little too often.Days pass and after hard debate, Clotted Cream realizes he wants to see Herrencreme again. The combination of his own curiosity and desire for freedom with someone who, not only is completely disconnected from his spheres, embodies the change he’s been looking for. All while showing interest in him. It’s a chance he’s not willing to lose. He reminds himself to find the Custard staff responsible for coordinating with the event team in hopes of finding him again.

Trivia

  • The required military training years to become Consul in the Roman Republic was 10 years. This has been shortened to 5 years in the Creme Republic, and not mandatory (as this would only limit Consul candidates to paladins and Houses with private militaries). Clotted Cream started his training years at 22 years old, right after he finished his higher-education.

  • Clotted Cream’s outfit will change to show his progress through rankings. However, his Cloak of Light will not appear until he reaches canon/present time. The Cloak of Light will be given to him as a gift for being elected as Consul.

  • Although many of their clients are located within the Creme Republic, Herrencreme has traveled abroad for certain clients who request his services and attendance specifically.

  • Herrencreme's immediate family members are Herrentorte Cookie (brother), Marble Pudding Cookie (mother), and Rum Baba Cookie (father, deceased).

  • Herrencreme is second cousins with Cheesecake Cookie and can be seen at her parties as a guest.

  • Herrenclotted is the ship name, 🍸🏛️ is the ship emoji combo.

  • Clotted Cream and Herrencreme's relationship lasts for roughly 3 years.
